A38 may seem like an unusual name for a club restaurant and concert venue, but that is not all that is unusual; this hub of cool culture is located in Buda beside the Danube and Petőfi Bridge. More surprisingly, the whole culture and entertainment center are housed in a converted cargo ship originally built in Ukraine in 1938. The upper decks have bars and a restaurant with excellent views of the Danube. As a concert venue, the hold has been re-fitted with excellent acoustics and all the latest in audio technology, this has helped them attract and impressive array of stars from all round the world as well as stars from Hungary. The concerts here range from jazz and blues to rock and from world music through to electronic, they also offer business and private bookings and operate a recording studio.
