Laser Theatre

The Laser Theatre in Budapest bills itself as the only one in Europe, and their shows are truly spectacular, not to mention almost hypnotically charming. Their team of artists and technicians compose intricate patterns, dancing shapes and fanciful images all woven purely of light. Perhaps unsurprisingly the music of Pink Floyd (themselves pioneers of using lasers for entertainment) features as does that of Mike Oldfield and Queen for classic rock fans, while Carl Orff's Carmina Burana and John Vangelis provide a more traditional backdrop and the music of Madonna lends a more contemporary edge. The Laser theatre is housed in the Budapest Planetarium, and can be easily reached by public transport, both metro and buses. It's a uniquely suited and special venue for the high tech wizardry of this sophisticated, captivating and extremely complex show.
